CD Eclipse X HVLA Jill ARI #
1191011
HVLA Black Jack has four generations of true black on his sire's side.
His dam is HVLA Jill out of Snowmass Peruvian Cashmere, a DRAMBUIE son, and
HVLA Nicola, a true black. Lineage?.....'nuff said.
This big boned young man obviously has his superfine fleece passed down on
his dam's side. How often do you see a 16.8 micron fleece in a black, even
at 1 year of age? If that's not enough, he's very dense and shows well
defined crimp and incredible luster. Jack had his follicle biopsy done by Dr
Jim Watt in Australia: His mean fibre diameter age 24 months is 22.4 microns
(20.6 for secondary follicles) and his follicle density is 38.2. He has 2
crimps per cm and ZERO medullation, EVEN in his primary follicles. He is
retaining his fineness into his fourth year!. |

NEWS FLASH!!! The 2007
OFDA 2000 fiber testing has identified HVLA Black Jack as the finest black
in his age group of 58 huacayas, 37-48 months of age...AND…Jack was 46
months at this shearing (nearly four years old)!!
Micron results at 6 years old:
22.4, 5,5, 21.4. 13.7 |

Jack keeps getting better with age. As he matures, his
fleece is holding up and mellow temperament remains unchanged. No wonder
that in awarding him Color Champion at just under age 3 at the California
Classic, judge Dawn Brooker stated, "I'd love to have 30 just like him in my
pasture."
Jack now has several stunning crias on the ground. Renaisssance Ridge
Claudia (DB) is the only one to have shown in 2008, taking a Reserve Color
Championship at Alpacamania. Jack is proudly co-owned with Mark and Debbie
Emery of Brookfarm Alpacas in Glen Ellen, CA. If black is what you are
looking for, look no further! |

Derwydd Bueno's Akupana has become quite
a presence at Alpacas All Around. We couldn't believe the quality of this
boy's fleece, along with the extreme density. He is truly a gentle giant,
with those huge legs and beautiful head. He has the disposition of a cuddly
teddy bear. |

To quote Dale Davis, "He is cast in his sire's
image, but fawn with black genetics." We think that Akupana will be adding
another round of depth to the Derwydd and now, Alpacas All Around, herd
sires that carry fine fleece, and FINE genetics. |

Cinnamon's sire, HVLA Sir Cinnamon is an Accoyo Legacy son;
his half brother, Snowmass Legacy Gold, sold for more than 1/2 a million
dollars. His dam, Merino's Eve is out of another grand Peruvian import:
5Peruvian Merino. Cinnamon has inherited his superb frame and temperament
from the very best. His fleece is soft like butter, with high frequency and
low amplitude. He is unproven, but eagerly taking his place as a true macho,
"very interested" in the girls. This guy has what it takes to improve any
female he covers.
