Group in the Country!
We are very pleased to announce that the 2007 OFDA 2000 Fiber Testing
identified HVLA BLACK JACK at 46 months of age as the Finest Black Huacaya
in the Country in his age group.
Four generations of true black on sire's side. Black Jack's dam is out
of Snowmass Peruvian Cashmere (Snowmass Drambuie son) & HVLA Nicola (true
black).
Black Jack has superfine fleece with 16.8 microns at 1 year! He
is very dense, with well-defined crimp & incredible luster and seems to be
passing this on to the first few crias on the ground so far.
Jack's follicle biopsy by Dr. J. WATT (Australia) is as follows: Mean
fiber diameter age 24 mo. 22.4 microns (20.6 secondary follicles) & follicle
density 38.2 crimps per cm & ZERO medullation, EVEN in primary follicles.
Black Jack is retaining fineness even into his 4th year!
Black Jack is proven with exceptional crias on the ground.
